Domestic violence is one of the most destructive forces in our society. Children & Families of Iowa’s domestic violence services provide a unique approach to helping victims of domestic violence rebuild their lives.

Through hotline services, safe shelter, medical and legal advocacy, consultations, trainings and counseling; Children & Families of Iowa can provide help for those whose lives are affected by domestic violence. CFI offers healing for survivors of domestic violence and hope to those who want to create safer homes and communities.

What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence is any pattern of abusive behaviors used to control another person.

Domestic violence can occur in any relationship, regardless of income, race, education, ethnic background, personal ability, sexual orientation, marital status or social standing.
