URBANDALE, Iowa —

Urbandale Police are looking for thieves who tried to steal Christmas from a metro charity overnight.

The thieves broke into a warehouse and stole items that were to be used for the EveryStep Grief and Loss Support Service Cheer Box program this holiday.

The organization said volunteers had already wrapped Cheer Boxes for delivery. Two EveryStep vehicles were also stolen.

The organization is asking for help to replace the items as quickly as possible and is accepting donations on its website.
